According to the Miami New Times, medical marijuana is still up in the air for Miami residents. They write, "Voters backed Amendment 2, requiring the Legislature to make rules by July 3. By September, medical pot is supposed to be legal. But try telling that to the City of Miami. Nearly four months after the election, officials in the Magic City are still debating whether medical marijuana is even legal."
Apparently there has been some questions of zoning and other legalities that have pushed back the preparation for the state legislation. May 17 is the next board meeting that is supposed to provide a general overview of dispensary zoning and practices. Let's hope city officials stick to the schedule!
