Miami’s sunshine and beaches are what draws people to the city, but us locals know that for every day of sun and summer fun, it rains almost just as much, if not more especially during the rainy season. While rain can be a bummer for plans outside, there are plenty of things to do indoors. So bring your ‘day-walker’ ginger friend along and leave the sunscreen at home.
Miami is definitely not for everyone. You either love it or you hate it. The lifestyle can be a lot to handle if you’re not a local and even more so if you’ve relocated from a quieter scene. That being said, there are some quietly serene spots all around Miami for anyone that’s looking to get away from the flashing lights and bass of the house music that somehow seems like it’s always on repeat. Here are some of my favorite spots for a tranquil day in the city of nonstop over-stimulation.
